Lawsuit Against Walmart to Allow MMJ Use
As posted on CNN, ACLU is pending a law suit on behalf of a former Walmart employee. This will be of huge importance for medical marijuana users who work for larger companies that strictly enforce and use drug tests. Right now, if you are using medical marijuana to treat symptoms of a decease, lets say something as painful as Cancer, then you too could loose your job after a drug test. Companies like Walmart don’t seem to care if you are in pain or not. They don’t seem to care if your doctor prescribes the drug or not. They also clearly don’t care that a nationwide initiative has been going on for years to allow legal use of medical marijuana and that over 13 states approve its use.
Yes, we all still realize that the federal government has taken no action to change its laws about the drug. That being said, our current presidents views, weather you agree with them or not, stand to reason that after half of the US States pass bills to legalize the drug in the state we would hope that the President and Congress would begin to see that the people of the United States of America are pleading you to allow us to use a drug that merits benefits no other drug can provide with less side effects then a majority of the drugs legalized in the United States.
I would love to see a comparison study of Marijuana vs Vicodin. And a message to Walmart, have a little compassion for people with incurable diseases instead of just acting like machine. You are going to feel pretty embarrassed when the drug becomes nationally accepted while you were taking a stance against proper patient use.
