First State Approved Marijuana Farms
Today we heard about something new and exiting on multiple levels. Brought to you from Fox News, the article on Oakland Votes to Allow Large Marijuana Farms, tells us about some truly high end commercial grow gardens that are being “State Approved!”
First lets talk about why. While the small growers probably frown on this as a large corporate opportunity to take away from the small grow operators, we need to consider the greater good here. There are problems with small grow shops, clearly from the Fires that are generated from poorly setup electrical wiring in an attempt to grow on a tiny budget. Then consider the new crime from people know about a “small grow” like a convenience store of marijuana. Fairly unprotected, open, and attracting all of the wrong crowed.
Setting the standard of grow operations to well protected, commercial grade gardens of hydroponic perfection is going to seriously assist reducing crime and fire while increasing the plant and product consistency. Small growers will always find there place just like small businesses do, by providing a niche product or service that just can’t be handled on a broad scale operation like a grow garden.
Lastly lets discuss the new proposition, Proposition 19, that will allow recreational use of Marijuana. Lets face it with around 50% of the Colorado population having a medical marijuana card… its already being used for recreation. Our opinion stands firm that we would rather adults use Marijuana then alcohol. Easier on the body, brews less violence, and maintains a medical purpose besides “sterilization”.
